The Beginning of the end

now its time to start my final ever project in uni. a showreel showcasing my skills in stop-motion animation and puppet building.

To begin the project this week i began by toying with the idea of either a film or a showreel. I really want to make a film, as i think this will be most memorable and also this might be the only chance in life i will have time to make one. However, as always, i was very indecisive and could never settle on an idea i thought was good enough/ worthy of being made. As you can see from this mind map. So i moved onto the idea of creating a showreel. For my showreel i looked at online examples to find out the industry standard and what is expected. I came to the conclusion that i will need to include some technical pieces, such as a walk cycle and a lip sync, as well as creating some small performance pieces.
