Research

This week i have concentrated on texture and the different materials i can use throughout my showreel to make it different and stand out. As well as making it more visually appealing than just a resin and silicone puppet showreel.  

I looked at a variety of animation companies and their work, with Fantastic Mr Fox and the Little Prince standing out. The little princes it made out of paper, a medium i am quite comfortable using, and enjoy.  I would really like to try and incorporate this in my final showreel and push the medium to a new level, and use it in a way i have not before. On the other hand Fantastic Mr Fox uses a material i have never used before Fur. Im really curios about making a puppet with this texture as it is something i have never done before. So i will look into designing a character that will allow me to explore this technique further.
