Little Boy

This week, as mentioned before, i asked Teifi to design me a character with this criteria and following this process:

•I began by playing the sound clip but not the video because i didn’t necessarily need the character to look like the boy in the video. 

•A little boy, between the age of 4 and 5 

•Short and wide, this is so it would be different to any character i have ever made before. •

Here are some of the ruff characters that teifi designed.  I really like these characters but they needed a little tweaking i loved the big ears and square head. however, i asked if she could make his body a little rounder and legs a little shorter.

and here is the final character coloured in. I’m really happy with the final character i think he is very cute and will work very well as a stop motion puppet. His legs and arms might be a little small, and could be a problem when it comes to animating. But this is why i chose this deign, i wanted a challenge and something different, and i think with some cearful planning it will all come together.

I also drew the little boy my self so i would be able to recreate his likeness later on when drawing his character posses and expressions.
